Took this after walking through the various war memorials downtown today. The emptiness, long shadows, and barron trees evoke sorrow to me. The loss of what once was. The end of the day.

What a beautiful picture. I love DC.
B&W done using Picasa2 - although any photo editing program will do this. I played with filters as well to pull the contrast out a bit.
Wow...just looking at that my body had a chill and tears welled up. Beautiful shot.
